From the Ohlone to Silicon

The Ohlone were the first recorded residents of the Santa Clara Valley, and lived in Coyote Creek and Calaveras Creek, in 8000 BC. The European presence in California began with the arrival of famed English explorer, Sir Francis Drake, on July 17, 1579. Drake claimed the land for England and after his departure it took 200 years for settlers from any other European country to establish themselves. However, California was soon swarming with the Spanish and the Russians.

The county acquired its current name in 1777, when Father Junípero Serra came to California in order to establish a chain of Franciscan missions. He named the valley “Clare” or “Clara” meaning “clear”, and the land extended from present-day Palo Alto to Gilroy.
San Jose was California's first town, founded by nine Spanish soldiers, five settlers and one cowboy, on orders from the Spanish viceroy of Mexico on November 29, 1777, and named after St. Joseph.

The Santa Clara Valley, more popularly known as the Silicon Valley, has since grown from the small township it was in 1777, to the massive, industrialised tract of land it is today. If you are interested in acquiring real estate in Silicon Valley, contact
Dale Warfel. A consultant with Keller Williams Realty, Warfel has technical expertise in real estate and homes for sale in Almaden Valley, Morgan Hill, Cambrian Park, Midtown, Blossom Valley, Monte Sereno, Rose Garden, and Willow Glen, among others. Junior golf in California

With over 2500 golf courses, and a history of producing world-class golfers, California has become one of the most popular golfing destinations in the country. The state has produced a good number of tour professionals, and has become a hotspot for golf in America, especially after its best-known son Tiger Woods burst onto the professional scene in 1996. In order to tap growing talent in golf at an early age, the state has encouraged the organisation of an extensive local tour for juniors as well as amateurs, in order to develop the necessary infrastructure.

The tour operates throughout California and Nevada, and some tournaments are held in world -class golf courses like Torrey Pines and Mission Hills, while others are held near small localities like
Willow Glen and Los Gatos. Coaching and club membership facilities have also been provided extensively, to encourage more people to take up the game.

The climate is also well suited to a golfing environment, i.e. hot summers and cold winters provide for a variation in conditions, allowing players to adapt themselves to difficult situations. Keen on improving your golf game or that of your children? Start by moving closer to the course. Talk to
Dale Warfel, real estate consultant with Keller Williams Realty, about real estate properties in Almaden Valley, Cambrian Park, Willow Glen, Midtown, Monte Sereno, Campbell, Rose Garden, Los Gatos, Morgan Hill. Listing services

A listing contract is a contract between a real estate broker and a seller or sellers of real property to give the broker the right to offer the property for sale. The contract is often referred to as a listing agreement. It is quite important in the process of selling one’s home. Only then would the real estate agent put the home for sale on his listings or multiple listing services. Most of us are definitely unfamiliar with the different types of listing contracts. It is obvious that the right real estate agent would be the best guide. For example, Dale Warfel of Keller Williams Realty specializes in the Santa Clara County of California.

Making your dreams come true

Everyone wishes to own his or her dream home. The real estate agents make this easier. You could select a home from their listings which contain a number of homes for sale. They could help you select the home you are looking for. Some nice neighborhoods to live in include the Rose Garden neighborhood in San Jose, California. In 1927, what is now the Rose Garden neighborhood was primarily pear and prune orchards, many owned by Food Machinery Corporation (FMC). The area was also home to farm houses and a few mansions.

Another great place is Morgan Hill which is located in the southern part of Santa Clara County, California. The city is named after Hiram Morgan Hill, a San Franciscan who built a country retreat home there in 1884. Originally a community of ranchers,
farmers and orchardists, the city has evolved into a bedroom community for the high-tech industries in Silicon Valley. It is not a very big city, with a population of just over 30,000. Dale Warfel of Keller Williams Realty who specializes in homes for sale in Santa Clara County, Ca. will help you through all the steps in buying the home, such as offering a price, writing an offer, the number of inspections to carry out, disclosure from the seller and title insurance.

Buying a house?

Buying a house is one of the biggest decisions that one can make in their lifetime. It not only involves a lot of money, but in most cases, also leaves you with a place where you are going to spend a good part of your life. Hence it is important that you don’t rush into any impulsive decision. Remember the fact that you and your family are going to be living in that particular area. Check that places of regular travel such as your child’s school, your work place, departmental stores etc., are not very far. If you are not able to locate such a place, decide if you want to choose a location which is in close proximity to public transport.

Consider your budget properly and decide on the approximate amount of money that you would be willing to spend on the house, keeping in mind your mortgage and other payments. It is better to have at least twenty five percent of the down payments in the bank. Never go in for a house that is beyond your budget. A good real estate agent like
Dale Warfel of Keller Williams Realty will be able to guide you. A common mistake that most people make while buying a house is that they decide on a house that merely falls under their affordable range, even though it does not satisfy all their needs.

Make sure that the house is the right size, with the required number of bedrooms and bathrooms. Before you make the final decision, inspect every nook and corner of the property that you are buying. With Dale, you can be sure that you are in safe hands. You can browse through Warfel’s “Dream Home Finder”, as shown on his website. So if your looking for some
real estate in Almaden Valley or a residence for sale in Blossom Valley or a property for sale in Milpitas all you have to do is select the area you want to invest in and fill in all the details of your desired home. So call him at 408 624 6202 to make an appointment.

Call Dale to get the best deals

Real estate dealings are processes that not only involve a lot of legal agreements but also include huge amounts of money. It is obvious that you would want to make maximum profit out of the house which you wish to sell. Here is a list of things that you should keep in mind before selling a house. It is important that buyers become aware that you are putting your property on sale. Hence effective advertising is important to spread the word. Try simple, but effective methods such as giving ads on television, newspapers and other paper attachments.

Billboards and notices also attract a lot of attention. Apart from these, advertising online is another great way to spread awareness. A good real estate agency would be able to guide you. Prepare your house, to make it look attractive to the buyers. Spend a few dollars to get a new coat of paint for your house. Scrub the floors clean and make the entire house look clean, neat and spacious. Also take care to fix minor problems such as squeaking staircases or loose door knobs. The more attractive your house is, the higher is its demand in the market. Consult a good real estate agent like
Dale Warfel of Keller Williams Realty to fix the correct rate for your property.

Fixing a price much higher than what its value is can leave your house unsold for ages and fixing a price much lesser than what it deserves to get would result in a loss for you. As a Silicon Valley native, having lived, worked, shown, listed, and sold homes in practically every corner of Santa Clara County,
Realtor Dale Warfel’s combination of area knowledge, technical background, and negotiation skills is an asset when looking for your dream home.
